Back when i was starting as a young designer doing VM (young talaga? i'm still young though.. hehe), i tend to be picky with the things i'd like to put on display, and sometimes I end up liking none. But now since i've been more experienced, i see everything beautiful and have their own potential. You just need to look for the things to go with it.
Here are some examples.
This armoire and this corner sofa has been seating in the showroom neglected. If I were setting this up when I was younger I'd probably say that this things are "scary", old fashion and give a verdict right there and then that no one will buy it. But since I have a new eye, I see it as something classic and if paired with the right pieces it will be sophisticated.
and there it goes.. see?? although I know there is a blank wall and a missing element for it but I think I pulled it off. And yes.. all items seen here have been sold! yay!
another is a lizard sofa bed neglected deep somewhere in the showroom. It's nice for a teens room but teens here in Daet doesn't have their own pad, and most of the folks here wouldn't like to make their place look very playful.
but giving it contemporary modern company, well playfulness tamed down.
this cute sofa that can be converted into a bed needed a little boost
there were a bunch of paper flowers and a neglected narrow mouth clear vase
twisted them a little and viola!!
it was actually only meant to serve as a center piece to accessorize a table and somebody actually bought it.
(hihi)
so there.. those are just but a few of the items that you may think is not that nice but given a different perspective might be just right. ^__^
