Department store renoation.. The begining

I'm so excited to do this project. Imagine to renovate a department store?? It's just a small one but still this is something new for me. And i'm up for the challenge.

I'm trying to make a layout of it and it's really confusing me. A lot of things to think about while doing this. Like the traffic flow, what's best to display the merchandise, which one is next to what.. Stuff like that. I'm used to making home interiors and small botiques specalizing on a certain product. But this one is different. I need to plan for a whole bunch! And its crazy! Crazy in a good way. Yay! ^___^

Here's the juices.

The department store is inside a small town mall in daet, camarines sur. It's been serving its patrons for years now. The look of the store is outdated. And a little gloomy.
The owners wants to have a fresh, inviting, yet chic ambience and look.

In order to do that we need to rearrange the floor layout, if possible redo the tiles and ceiling, drop some to create a path and add more lighting. Also we need to change some display racks. And add more graphics slash marketing banners.

I know!!! Its a lot of work so we need to plan it well. VERY WELL. We also need to think about which areas are going to be revamped first. And how will it look like while under construction.

Cross fingers! I know we can pull this one up! See you on my next post! Yay!!!

SINGAPORE FIRST TIMER part 1

I know, I know. This trip was 2 years ago but as i said I missed a lot of things. So I'm filling the gap.
here's part one of my trip to Singapore.

Singapore. I never understood the phrase that was printed in every souvenire shirts they sell there "i was fined SG". Maybe it meant to say that i was good and happy at SG or i did a violation in SG (SG is known as a country that prohibits the people to spit, to litter, to smoke, etc. in public and they follow this rules strictly) that i had to pay for a fine, which by the way i didn't. But either way the experience was awsome.

It was my first time to go out of the country and to fly a plane at night. I love the lights from above. Its like im seing a constalation of stars but instead of looking up, i'm staring down.

see all the lights??? It was so incredible!!! I know I sound like a five year old on her first time seeing this, but hey! It WAS my first time. hehe.
i got few more shots of this but it was kind of blurry so i didn't bother to post it. but all is in my memory. hihi.

But before this breath taking scene we were held up on the Philippine airport, because of reasons not really clear to me. We assumed that its because its my first time to go out of the country. We didn't really had a hard time, the officer in the immigration was nice but yes i felt a little offended, i'm not going to work there illegally or work there as a whore for a week (i heard rumors about it),but i also understand they are just doing their job.

After the incident the excitement came back and i was all giddy again. And as we arraived at changi airport my giddiness doubled. We took a shuttle that will take us to our hotel. We paid at the counter and we were asked to wait. I was impressed. There are actually shuttles (there are also taxies but shuttles are way cheaper), that will take you to your destination and you'll pay for the fare inside the airport. So you know your safe with it and your paying the right price.

changi airport was a small but clean and nice airport, and yeah more presentable than what we have
our stub for our shuttle ride
As we rode the shuttle to our hotel i am giddy, giddy to the nth level. Sight seeing the night road of singapore seeing some familiar establishments and too excited to finally arrive at hotel 81.
see how giddy I am? can't help but to smile like that! hehe

When we arrived at our hotel, i immediately took out my laptop, log in at FB and announced to the world my excitement. I can't wait for tomorrow.
